The implementation of the Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program is under development at Â鶹´«Ã½, estimated to launch in Spring 2023. MESA is a college and career prep program, created to increase the number of economically and educationally disadvantaged students that achieve academic and career success in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Congratulations to Director of Technology Services Nick Wilkening for being named Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s 2022 Manager of the Year! Nick, who recently returned from deployment with the US Air Force Reserve, was instrumental in assisting the college with technology needs during the COVID pandemic.

After nearly 40 years of quality career education, there are enough Â鶹´«Ã½ success stories to fill a book. And while these passion-to-paycheck tales tend to share certain plot elements: a Laser-focused determination, an independent spirit… they don’t always start out on the same page.

On November 4, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris presented Â鶹´«Ã½ with $2.5 million from the California state budget to expand Veterans Services Center and the resources the center. Since 2014, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Veterans Services Center has assisted veterans, active-duty personnel, reservists, and their dependents/spouses with the application for VA educational benefits and their certification process.

Whether on the court or in the classroom, students in the sports medicine pathway at Â鶹´«Ã½ are scoring when it comes to gaining skills. With a supportive team of faculty, and ample amounts of hands-on learning, these Lasers are gearing up for success at Â鶹´«Ã½ and beyond.

On October 29, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Honors Program and Saddleback Honors Program hosted the . Â鶹´«Ã½ and Saddleback students convened in person on the Saddleback College campus to share oral presentations and poster displays of their research in a range of disciplines. Of the 47 research projects, 36 were presented by Â鶹´«Ã½ students. The event featured a keynote address by Dr.

Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Marketing and Creative Services team picked up seven Medallion Awards and one Rising Star Award from the last week. District 6 covers Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and Territory of Guam.

As part of a two-day tour of Southern California, President Joe Biden made a stop at Â鶹´«Ã½ on Friday, October 14 to deliver remarks on lowering costs for American families. The President spoke to a crowd of nearly 150.  

After two and a half years of virtual competition, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Speech Team made its victorious return to in-person competition earlier this month at the 2022 PSCFA Warm-Up Tournament hosted by El Camino College. Fifteen colleges and universities from across Southern California and Arizona came together to compete at the event.
