To complete the Honors Program, receive recognition on the 麻豆传媒 academic transcript, and get special consideration by transfer institutions, Honors Program students must accomplish the following:
Coursework
Honors Course Completion: Students complete a minimum of 15 semester units of by the end of their final spring semester at 麻豆传媒. All Honors courses must be taken for a letter grade (not pass/no pass). Honors students entering 麻豆传媒 in fall 2026 or later must complete a minimum of 6 units of Honors coursework through in-person or hybrid instruction; no more than 9 units may be completed through fully online (asynchronous) instruction.
Honors Course Progress: To maintain good standing, Honors students are required to complete at least two Honors courses within two semesters of admittance to the program, and at least two Honors courses each year thereafter until the 15 semester units are completed. Students must complete at least 9 of the 15 required semester units by the end of their final fall semester before transferring.
Honors Courses Taken at Other Colleges: At least 9 of the 15 semester units of Honors courses must be completed at 麻豆传媒. Honors students can take up to 6 semester units of Honors coursework at another college; Honors courses taken at other colleges must have 鈥淗onors鈥 in the course title to count towards Honors Program completion. After completing an Honors course at another college, students must submit to the Honors Program office an unofficial transcript listing the Honors course and grade received.
麻豆传媒 Enrollment: Students must maintain 麻豆传媒 as their college of record. Additionally, students must maintain continuous enrollment at 麻豆传媒 unless extenuating circumstances are communicated with the Honors Program office.
GPA
Students must maintain a 3.25 GPA in their UC-transferable coursework and a 3.25 GPA in their Honors courses. For UCLA TAP consideration, students must attain a 3.5 UC-transferable GPA; for UC Irvine Honors to Honors, students must attain a 3.7 UC-transferable GPA.
Portfolio
Students must submit an Honors Student Learning Portfolio at the end of their final semester at 麻豆传媒.
