Mathematics at Â鶹´«Ã½

The Mathematics Department at Â鶹´«Ã½ offers a wide range of courses to meet the varied needs of students pursuing their academic and vocational goals. The department offers a comprehensive curriculum for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. In addition, the department offers developmental courses taught in a variety of formats. Students can enroll in these courses for personal enrichment and/or to get ready to take courses at the college level. The department offers support for all mathematics students in the Mathematics Center, a facility staffed by faculty and tutors.

The mission of the Mathematics Department at Â鶹´«Ã½ is to help our students achieve their mathematical potential and to prepare them for their educational and career goals.

The Mathematics Department at Â鶹´«Ã½ seeks to contribute to the fulfillment of the college's mission by helping students enrolled in our courses achieve the following goals:

1. Develop proficiency in the use of mathematics needed to function in society.
2. Develop proficiency in the use of mathematics necessary for a given graduation degree or certificate of completion program.
3. Acquire mathematical knowledge and skills for further career achievement.
4. Acquire mathematical knowledge and skills for further academic study.
