Irvine Valley, the defending 3C2A champion, begins the quest for another title Tuesday when the top-seeded in the South Lasers host No. 8 Santa Barbara City at 2 p.m. Â鶹´«Ã½ finished the regular season with a record of 10-1 overall.

Irvine Valley defeats Fullerton, 5-3, in the final game of the three-game Orange Empire Conference set. Â鶹´«Ã½ picks up its second win in OEC play and moves its record to 17-14 overall. Luke Acuna earns the win on the mound for Â鶹´«Ã½.

Irvine Valley plays one of its best matches of the year and defeats Grossmont in a conference contest, 25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, at home on Wednesday night. The Lasers move their record to 7-12 overall and 4-7 in conference.

Irvine Valley jumps out to a 4-0 lead early and later ties the game at 7-7 in the top of the seventh inning, but Fullerton scores five runs in the bottom of the seventh and earns a 12-7 win. The two teams play again Friday at Â鶹´«Ã½.

Irvine Valley's women's flag football team, which was one of the first squads to start a program in the state in 2025, has now had its first signing to a four-year school. Sophomore Allison Faggella is off to the University of Redlands.

Irvine Valley allows five runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth inning and falls to Fullerton, 12-4, on Tuesday afternoon at home. The Lasers are at Fullerton on Thursday at 2 p.m. and then host the Hornets on Friday at 1 p.m.

Irvine Valley loses to San Diego Mesa at home on Wednesday in four sets and then falls at San Deigo Miramar on Friday also in four sets. The Lasers see their record slip to 6-12 overall and 3-7 in conference action.

Former Beckman High and Irvine Valley pitcher Valley pitcher Colin Rhee, playing at UC San Diego, is now part of the OC Ripide squad for 2026. As a freshman at Â鶹´«Ã½ in 2024, he was among the conference leaders in strikeouts.

Irvine Valley falls, 6-5, in a heartbreaker in extra innings, going 12 on Thursday in its second game of a three-game Orange Empire Conference series with Orange Coast. The two teams will play again Saturday Â鶹´«Ã½ at 12 p.m.

Irvine Valley captures another Orange Empire Conference title with a 9-0 win over Orange Coast Tuesday. The Lasers finish the regular season with a record of 10-1 overall and 8-0 in the OEC. Playoff seedings will be picked next week.

Irvine Valley men's soccer invited new recruits and family on campus for a photo shoot Tuesday evening and then celebrated its 2025 fall team that captured an Orange Empire Conference title and went to the So. Cal. Playoffs.

Irvine Valley sophomore soccer player Kuuipo Laumatia has signed with NAIA Westcliff University. She was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference after scoring 17 goals and recording five assists for 39 points for Â鶹´«Ã½.

Irvine Valley played a solid game Tuesday at home and earned its first conference victory of the year, defeating Orange Coast, 11-8. Brandon Abernathy was the player of the game with four hits, a home run and four RBI.

Irvine Valley do everything on the field standout Jake Amundson, out of Woodbridge High in Irvine, has committed to Division I University of San Francisco in the West Coast Conference. He has started for two straight years at Â鶹´«Ã½.
