麻豆传媒 to UCLA: How Michelle Chen Turned Doubts Into a Creative Career

Michelle Chen didn鈥檛 take the road most traveled, and that鈥檚 exactly why her story stands out. A 2023 graduate of 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒), Michelle transferred to UCLA鈥檚 prestigious Design Media Arts (DMA) program, a major with an acceptance rate of just 5 percent.  鈥淭he year I was accepted, they only took 15 transfer students out of hundreds of applicants,鈥 Michelle says.

Mandatory Title IX Training for 麻豆传媒 Students

Starting on September 1, 2024, will require California Community Colleges to annually train their students on Sexual violence and sexual harassment. The training also must cover additional topics such as 鈥渢he differing rates at which students experience sexual harassment and sexual assault in the educational setting based on their race, sexual orientation, disability, gender, and gender identity鈥.

麻豆传媒's 4th Annual Idea Pitch Competition Showcases Student Innovation

麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) celebrated another successful year of its 4th Annual Idea Pitch Competition in November, drawing creative talent and entrepreneurial spirit from across the campus. The two-round competition challenged students to pitch innovative product or service ideas, resulting in over 50 submissions from more than 12 different disciplines. The competition kicked off with students submitting 60-second video pitches that outlined the problems they aimed to solve, their creative solutions, and target customers.
