Â鶹´«Ã½ Launces the Rising Scholars Program

I am so proud of Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s official launch of the Rising Scholars Program held on January 24, 2024 at the Performing Arts Center. It was an incredible afternoon of inspiration and a beautiful convergence of the arts and education. I was struck by the power of artistic expression to convey the lived experiences and message of redemption from each participant.  I invited Shawn Khalifa, Project Specialist for Rising Scholars to describe the program and the significance of its launch.

Financial Aid Fiascos (10 am - Noon)

Financial Aid is confusing enough without having to do all the other tasks you do for students. Erica Lehman, from the Financial Aid Office, will help alleviate some of the confusion surrounding office procedures, the new applications, and answer some common questions from students and staff.

FAFSA Simplification & What These Changes Mean For You

In 2020, the FAFSA Simplification Act was enacted into law with the goal of making the application simpler and making more students eligible for federal student aid. Some of the changes are being made to the FAFSA form itself, to the terminologies used, and to how need analysis is calculated.

When you are completing the FAFSA for 2024-25, keep in mind these key changes to help you navigate the new application:
