�鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) has once again set a historic milestone in its four decades of serving Irvine and the surrounding community. As of September 8, �鶹��ý’s official fall census enrollment headcount has reached 16,230 students, the largest number since the college’s founding in 1985.

Jenny Huynh is proof positive that one can leverage core skills to segue into a dream job.  

Now a global sustainability manager at apparel companies and sister brands Alo Yoga and Bella + Canvas, she embarked on a career in corporate sustainability after several years in the fast-paced field of public accounting and financial auditing.  

Her transition to a career dedicated to sustainable stewardship in the apparel industry was a gradual one. “A career doesn’t have to be linear,” she says. “You can always pivot and find something different.”  

Seven �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) students, part of a cohort of 51, showcased their research prowess at the , held on August 7 at the Titan Student Union Pavilion.

�鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) alumna Michelle Packman has carved out a unique niche for herself in the ultra-competitive music industry. 

The Laguna Hills native is now a Grammy-nominated string producer, composer and arranger – and has composed and recorded strings for over 300 artists.  

�鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) students now have a more affordable path to earning bachelor’s degrees online, supported by a new partnership with Arizona State University (ASU). Beginning this fall, eligible students and alumni from �鶹��ý can save 22% on tuition when they transfer to through the .

�鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) has been recognized as one of California’s top-performing institutions for return on investment (ROI), ranking #13 out of 327 community and certificate-granting colleges statewide in a groundbreaking by College Futures Foundation and The HEA Group.

With a deep commitment to social justice and a passion for understanding legality through the lens of cultural development, Varsha Torpunuri found her calling in the study of Anthropology. At �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý), she combined her major with a Paralegal Certificate and a Pre-Law track to build a powerful foundation for a future in human rights and Indigenous law. 

“Studying people and systems together gave me the clarity I needed,” Varsha said. “It helped me understand that real change comes from legal advocacy grounded in cultural understanding.” 

Driven by a passion for international affairs and a deep curiosity about global political systems, Saif Siddiqui found his academic home at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý), where he majored in Political Science with a focus on International Relations. 

“Understanding the structures that shape our world is the first step toward creating meaningful change,” Saif said. His long-term goal is to influence global strategy and policy through a career that bridges business, law, and international relations.

Jeslyn Do has always been fascinated by the way people interact with technology. At �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý), she found the perfect space to explore that intersection through her studies in Cognitive Science and Informatics. 

“In a world of constant innovation,” she said, “digital services are only truly successful when they’re intuitive, user-centered, and solve real human problems.” Jeslyn’s passion lies in designing technology that’s both personalized and accessible—bridging human behavior with smart, ethical design.
