On April 20, sixty-seven �鶹��ý students, supported by the �鶹��ý Honors Program, participated in the 24th Annual  at the University of California, Riverside. �鶹��ý students delivered 27 oral and nine poster presentations, comprising 36 of the 218 research projects.

In the realm of higher education – where lectures and textbooks often dominate – �鶹��ý Business Sciences Professor John Russo is on a mission to break the mold. His manifesto? To propel students out of the confines of traditional learning and into a realm of hands-on experience, networking, and industry immersion.  

Sometimes “success stories” make winning look too easy. In truth, success often stems from grit – the ability to overcome obstacles, pursue passions, and translate persistence into measurable growth, thereby opening doors to new opportunities. Carrie Arrieta, currently a Managing Consultant with United Health Group's Optum sector, exemplifies the transformative power of higher education, which she credits in part to her experience at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý).

The �鶹��ý Circle K International Club attended the annual California-Nevada-Hawaii Circle K International District Convention in Riverside on March 22 – 24.  Circle K members from colleges across the district gathered for educational workshops, leadership training, service projects, networking, elections, and to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments. �鶹��ý Circle K International is proud and honored to be the home club of the newly elected governor for the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Circle K International, Dylan Nelson.

After winning 118 awards over 22 days of competition this season, the �鶹��ý Speech Team tested their talents by competing at the . IFA is an affiliate of the National Communication Association and promotes the diversity of speech and debate competition in countries around the world by hosting an annual tournament in alternating geographic locations.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of virtual and augmented reality, technology companies are constantly seeking innovative ways to get ahead, stay ahead and future-proof their workforces.   

�鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) is demonstrating a remarkable success story in community college transfer rates, countering the troubling national trend highlighted in a recent of Inside Higher Education.

Associated Students of �鶹��ý (AS�鶹��ý) President Diego Victoria is one of 20 college students named to the prestigious 2024 All-USA Academic Team. He will receive a $5,000 scholarship.  

Diego, who was selected from more than 2,000 students, was recognized for his academic achievements, campus and community engagement, as well as overall leadership. He will be honored at the Phi Theta Kappa Conference on April 8. 

�鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) alumna Kim Virrueta's story is not a conventional one. Three weeks  after receiving her high school diploma in 1992, she found out she was pregnant at age 17.  Determined to build a life for her growing family, Kim embarked on a path that would begin with  enrolling at �鶹��ý and then weave through time and opportunity to land her the career she feels  she was always meant for.
