Kian Goshtasbi is a dedicated student at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) pursuing a major in computer science. His profound passion for the field of computer science was ignited during his childhood explorations in video game design. Despite facing initial setbacks and doubts about the field, Kian's resilience and determination led him back to computer science during his senior year of high school.

With a focus on Political Science and a forthcoming minor in Labor Studies, Summer Sanchez-Cornejo's academic pursuits at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) have focused on her desire to combat injustices prevalent in her community. 

Summer explains, “After seeing the way my loved ones and many in my community have been taken advantage of by employers, discriminated against by individuals, and persecuted by immigration and customs enforcement (I.C.E.), I want to work for change.” 

Diego Valencia credits some sound advice he got from �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý)’s Career Center with helping him achieve a childhood dream.  

Valencia, who graduated with honors from �鶹��ý in May, will transfer to UCLA in the fall, a veritable a “dream come true,” he says.

Esmeralda Delgado has never been one to think small. 

“As long as I can remember,” she says, “my goal has been to be a CEO.” 

A high school graduate at 17, she started her career as a receptionist, working her way up the ranks in the supply chain industry. Now majoring in business management at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) while juggling the demands of raising two children and a successful full-time career, Delgado is well poised to realize her dream. 

When Haley Barrios was a child, she loved to build things. 

“I still love tinkering with things, then taking them apart,” says Barrios, now a mechanical engineering student at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý).  

Meet Olivia Jin, a dynamic student at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) with a clear vision for her future in business and entrepreneurship. Olivia is pursuing a major in business administration with a concentration in strategy consulting, driven by her passion to empower small businesses in the competitive marketplace through strategic business development and marketing.

A graduate of Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, Olivia has set her sights on attending UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where she aims to further hone her skills and knowledge in business management.

Diego Moreno, a passionate student at �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý), is on a  journey fueled by his love for history. After graduating from Northwood High  School, Diego's academic path has been guided by his unwavering  enthusiasm for the subject, which he cultivated during high school. 

As a history major at �鶹��ý, Diego delved deep into his studies, driven by his innate curiosity and passion for the subject matter. His commitment to academia led him to excel in his classes, earning him recognition and respect among his peers and professors. 

On Friday, May 17, the �鶹��ý (�鶹��ý) Foundation held  its 39th Annual Scholarship Celebration demonstrating a resounding display of generosity and commitment to student success. The Foundation awarded a total of $558,750 in scholarships, marking a significant increase of $30,450, or 6%, compared to last year's event.
