To be an eligible candidate, you must:

Attend a Mandatory Candidate Orientation Meeting
All eligible candidates will be verified by the Office of Student Life on September 16, 2025 and will receive an email to sign up for a Candidate Orientation sent to their Â鶹´«Ã½ email address.

• Wednesday, September 17, 2025 |  12:30 -1:30 pm
• Thursday, September 18, 2025 |  9 -10 am
• Friday, September 19, 2025  |  3 - 4 pm
   

A student who is elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ must meet all of the following requirements (in accordance with Section 76061 of the California Education Code):

The student shall be enrolled at Â鶹´«Ã½ at the time of election and throughout their term, with a minimum of five (5) cumulative semester units at Â鶹´«Ã½.

1. The student shall meet and maintain the minimum standards of scholarship prescribed for Â鶹´«Ã½ students by the South Orange County Community College District.
2. Or, the student shall be enrolled in an adult education program offered by Â鶹´«Ã½ pursuant to Article 9 (commencing with Section 84900 of Chapter 5 of Part 50 of the California Education Code), at the time of the election and throughout their term.
3. Or, the student is enrolled at Â鶹´«Ã½ at the time of election and throughout the student's term, and is a disabled student, as defined in subdivision (b) of Section 84850.

In addition to the aforementioned requirements, a student who is elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ must also meet all of the following requirements: 

1. A student elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ must have Â鶹´«Ã½ listed as their College of Record.
2. A student elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ shall not be on academic or progress probation and must be in good disciplinary standing, must be in good disciplinary standing, and must be in good academic standing across the South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD).
3. A student elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ must adhere to the Student Leader Expectations form unless alternative arrangements are made with the ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ Advisor.
4. A student elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 in all college units completed at Â鶹´«Ã½.
5. A student elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ must have purchased the ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ Access for the Fall and Spring semesters upon taking office.
6. Any accommodation requests must follow the policies and procedures of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Disability Support Programs for Students (DSPS) office, be approved by the DSPS Coordinator, and must abide by Section 84850 of the California Education Code.
