Â鶹´«Ã½'s Circle K International Club attended the annual California-Nevada-Hawaii District Convention February 28 – March 2 in Ontario, California. Circle K members from colleges across the district gathered for educational workshops, leadership training, regional elections, service projects, and to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Circle K International Club brought home the following awards:
• 3rd Place Outstanding Club Media: Kristy Nguyen
• 100% Monthly Report Forms on time: Jill Nguyen
• Distinguished President: Rey Hoshi
• Distinguished Secretary: Jill Nguyen
• Governor’s Award: Rey Hoshi
• Faculty Advisor of the Year: Nancy Ikeda
The following students were awarded through the Membership Recognition Program for their outstanding service to the community:
• Bronze (30 hours of service): Vibhas Ippili, Euis Muljono, Kristy Nguyen
• Gold (90 hours of service): Nhi Pham
• Platinum (120 hours of service): Rey Hoshi, Jill Nguyen
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Circle K International Club has performed over 700 hours of community service over the past year. We will be celebrating our 20-year charter anniversary on April 14. The club would like to thank ASÂ鶹´«Ã½ for their generous support that allowed 10 student club members (and one advisor) to attend this year’s convention. The club meets biweekly on Thursdays at 5 pm in BSTIC 219.
